Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for specimen preparation (specializing in Microlepidoptera), sorting and distribution of new preparations (to subfamily
level in Lepidoptera), and for educational demonstration of techniques and methods; responsible for collection pest control via freezing, maintenance of fluid and slide-mounted collections, packing and shipping specimen loans worldwide, and for maintaining general collection supplies ranging
from ethanol to unit trays.
 
  General Interests:
More than thirty years of experience in insect collecting and preparation. 75% of activities are being focused on challenges presented by the current NSF-funded renovation of the collections, especially Lepidoptera. Have spread 164,560 Lepidoptera in research collections as of 1 December 2001.
General Research Interest:

Primary entomological interest is Lepidoptera with emphasis on the collection and preparation of Microlepidoptera.
