I still
need to gather information on European and Australasian species so that the
phylogeny pages for these species can be completed. |
 |
I am
currently working on a searchable reference database. This database
includes the entire Smithsonian Crayfish Bibliography (16,000+ references)
and papers published subsequent to this work (1990-present). The crayfish
reference submission page is also under construction. It is my hope that
users will be able to use this page to contribute citation information on
papers that do not yet appear in the reference database. In this way we can
build the crayfish reference database into the most complete source
available for any organism. I am also working on a way to serve PDF files
of these references to users by using the aforementioned searchable
database. |

The
Crayfish Checklist pages have been updated and coverage is now
worldwide and includes all countries where crayfishes are found (both native
and introduced species). Links on these pages also now point to the
phylogeny pages where additional information can be obtained about each
species. |
 |
I
have also added a new Crayfish References page so that visitors can download
and/or print many different papers that relate to crayfishes. This
includes many of the older papers by Faxon, Hagen, and Ortmann (among
others). Additional papers will be added as they become available.
